Rumors said that Apple is going to launch new series of laptops in the media event on 14th October, not alot of information has been leaked out, only that the laptops will be in aluminium case rather than the original white plastic, just like the MacBook Air.
Now, I just realised that DELL is doing some kind of campaign starting on 14th October too, they will have 10 days of deals, which means different offer each day on their products.
Coincident? No, I don't think so...
Had the telephone interview this morning, it went well I think, given that it's my very first.
It's quite an interesting job actually, since it's a new role to the company, there is no set role responsibility yet, they need to figure it out. However, as far as i understand from the interview is that it will be involving something that I haven't done before, something new and exciting. There will be much less experimental / lab work, but client facing, attending conferences / exhibitions, etc.
All sounds good, but... do I really wanna go up there??
Finally we will have a proper place to work, this is good. Although it means investment, but it's worth it I think. I said "we" up there, because I really wanna help out, in real... I want to be a part of this. I really hope having two new persons on board at the same time would be a great help to growth!! Anyway, quite some work is needed now before the actual start of working, but to be honest, I cannot have my mind totally into it yet, still got lots to do in my current job and when I get home, all I want is food and rest.
Well, out of the blue, I will have a telephone interview on Friday. I did apply for the job, but doesn't really want it, haha... it's too far up north, the job description sounds like a technician kind of job, and they didn't state the salary. Nevermind, I'll still do the interview to gain some experience. No pressure at all ^o^
OK, I got something new... I need to lose some weights!!!
I have been gaining weights since I came here, from the heavy lunch at work, sitting all the time, crisps, beers, not enough exercise and constant eating at home when I have nothing to do!! This is not good, my face is getting bigger and bigger!!!
Now I have a month! Really need to lose some weights before going back home. I have to control myself... discipline man, discipline!!!!!!!!
Many things happened since last week, but nothing specific that I wanna blog.
I'm getting very busy at work, since people starting to realise that I'm gonna leave in a month time, they all ask for my help now, making piles of work for me. It's OK really, not too much work that I can't handle, just enough to fill my days. And it's good that I'm contributing again, feel like I'm here because the company needs me, it's a very important feeling to keep an employee going.
Job hunting wise: no progress. It is quite obvious that the job market has been affected by the financial crisis around the world. A month ago, when I looked on the jobs websites, I can easily find something I want to apply for. Now, I don't even look everyday because there is not even one job per week that I want to apply for.
However, may be my mind has been affected by the excitment back in the UK. I can finally help in full-time, and things are going well, which makes me don't feel like looking for a job... but anyway, let's see...
um... don't have much mood to blog these days. Nothing new, nothing interesting, nothing worth blogging...
Well, finally booked the ticket to come back in October, Tuesday 28th, it's good, really looking forward to it! Now need to sort out practical stuff, find boxes to pack, arrange courier, sell the bed and bike, etc.
Many people ask about my plan, all I can say is that I'm looking for jobs, but not desperatly since I would like to wait for a suitable job to come along, rather than doing some crappy jobs because I need one. Also I got a mini job offered by my supervisor, which will last for a month or so...
People around seems to be much worried than me... ^o^
I'm impressed by the performance of the team lately, the 2-0 against Andorra on Satudary, then 4-1 against Croatia last night.
Joe Cole was the guy on the first match, then the young Theo Walcott was the hero on the next, with some credit to Wayne Rooney as well.
Although I couldn't watch the match live on TV, but just reading the live text on the BBc website was excited already! I usually go to a website called MightyFootball to watch the replay of the goals later, it's good!!
It's a good start so far, let's keep it up!

The new generation of iPod is about to be announced in "Let's Rock" media event later today, rumors said that it will be a tall version with a bigger screen, with increased HD of 8Gb and 16Gb, and also 9 different colours to choose from.
The iPod Touch is also going to be updated, but not much information have leaked out about that one, so let's wait and see!!

I really feel bad for myself, it feels like I have achieved nothing in life... I know I wasn't hard working enough, I always know that... but I really haven't thought about goals in life.
I have no goal in life.
I donno where I'm heading to, you are right, my attitude is wrong. I shouldn't look for a job because I need one, I need to seriously plan it out, I need to plan my career. As you said, I should have a goal then look for opportunities to pave my way to that goal, it does sounds like the right way for career development.
Right, I have to think now... what I wanna be in 10 years? or 5?
Time was going extremely slowly over the past 5 days, which means that internet has been taking over a large portion of my time normally.
Anyway, it was a pain to get the internet fixed, also wasted me some money on phone calls... but now I'm glad that it all works again, and hopefully there won't be anymore problem before I leave this country.
