I didn't know this coming. A brand new browser from Google - Chrome.
Just got to know it from BBC News, I then quickly downloaded the browser and play! It's good so far I think, it is a very simple browser that is fast to load. Once it opened, it shows the thumbnails of 9 most visited websites, this is very convenience for me! Also each tab is separate application, which means that if one tab crashed, it won't close the whole Chrome but only that specific tab, allowing you to continue browsing the web on other tabs. The address bar is also the search bar, very neat and convenient again.
Although at the moment, many websites don't work on Chrome, there are some problems of showing pictures I think, but hopefully in the near future, web owners (including myself!) will sort this out, because I would definitely love to switch to this browser! Also am waiting for the Mac version!
Go go go, Goooooooogle~~~

Right, I have to admit that after 12 years in the UK, I had never been to watching live football at a stadium. I know, it's unbelievable.
But now in Sweden, my colleagues are very nice, they know that I like football, so they kept looking for tickets for me to watch a Swedish football match. Finally last week, our company has some cheap tickets for us to buy, so today we all went to a football match of two local teams playing against each other.

It was fun! Although there was some rain which made the night quite cold, but the atmosphere was good inside the stadium. We had some good seats, reasonably close to the field, I could imagine that it would be rather good if that was a match of some English team that I know, then i could enjoy the match much more by knowing the players.

one thing I found quite surprising was that the football field is actually smaller than I expected! Seeing it on TV is completely different, the view from TV camera makes the field really big with respect to the players' size.
Anyway, it was a good experience, and now I'm really interested to watch an English match, let's see if I can do that when I get back to the UK!

Look at these~~~~~~

Guess how many crabs are there?? and guess how much per crab??
On Saturday, we happened to find fresh crabs to buy from a seaside, they are really big crabs, each one is bigger than the palm of mine! We bought 8 female crabs, and 2 males for free, the amazing thing is that it only costs us 160 SEK, which is less than 15 pounds!!! O, one more thing, those 10 crabs were shared by only 3 adults and 2 children, hahahhahaha!!!
A really big feast for us!!

Interesting product - Coca Cola Light Plus Green Tea.
I've seen this new adverts everywhere in Sweden for about 2 weeks, and I was so curious about what it is, I mean... I have tried almost all flavour of Coca Cola that is avaliable: Vanilla, Lemon, Lime, Cherry, Orange... you can easily imagine what the coke tastes like with those flavour, but... green tea?? with coke?? is it a joke??
So I just have to buy one and try it myself.
Today, finally get hold of one. It is a slim can, with only 330 ml. Let's read what it says on the can: Energy - 2 kJ/0.5 kcal; Fat, Protein, Calcium etc - 0 g
OK, well... let's try it.
I'm so disappointed with the taste... from what you see on the can, you would expect it's coke with green tea flavour, but actually it isn't! No special flavour, it's a normal coke! They just added in some green tea extract into the coke, that's it!!
This is so stupid, if I'm having a coke, I know that it's not good for my body, so does this plus green tea thing makes me feel better when having a coke?? Anybody out there think like that? I doubt it... On the other hand, if they actually add the green tea flavour to the coke (although I have no idea what the taste will be like), people may get this one because they want the green tea flavour, not because they wanna have coke but trying to be a little healthier.
Anyway, enough for this, don't think I'll ever get this coke again!

A guy had a password for his telephone banking at Lloyds that is, "Lloyds is pants", but then he found out that a staff changed the password to "no it's not" without asking him. He then wanted to change it back to the original password, but he was banned to do so, then he tried "Barclays is better" but of course he was not allowed to change to that neither!
This guy is funny or he really dislike Lloyds, because he asked if it was 'pants' that the bank doesn't like, and if "Lloyds is rubbish" allowed, but obviously the answer was 'No', haha!
Anyway, I think this is pretty funny and a good start of the day for me, you can read more on the BBC News here.
Now go back to work :D

Approaching the end of August, which means only two months left until I'm jobless.
During the past 2 weeks, I have been seriously hunting for jobs back in the UK. What I found is that my situation made it un-easy to find a suitable job, if I want to stay in the industry. There are alot of vacancies for the Chemists, Biologists and the most wanted is BioChemists; in comparison, Physicists are much less popular, not to mention that I'm not a straight Physicists nor a proper Medical Physicist, which makes it even harder.
When you can't find a job that needs your PhD experience, you would normally go for those that only require a degree or Masters, but then they often come back and say that you are overqualified for the position...
It's not easy, definitely not.
But I know I'll just have to keep hunting and wait for something good to come along...

Well, no doubts that the China team will finish in the first place, and USA as second on the medal table.
After the "Golden weekend", as described in some articles as "Super Saturday", "Splendid Sunday" and "Terrific Tuesday", the GB team managed to get 8 golds on the weeekend, 1 on Monday and 4 on Tuesday, as a result jumping up to the third on the medal table!

This is great! If we finish like that, it will be the first time in 88 years, and a good way to bring the Olympics to London in 2012!
Although they say that the Russians are coming closely behind us, but it doesn't matter, even if we finish in the forth place, it still is a very good achievement by the GB team! We are already proud of you~~
Come on GB!!

Just messing around on the net and look what I've found!!!

New DELL desktop, the Studio Hybrid, that just came out a few weeks ago. It's small and pretty!!!! Although when you look at the spec, you will be a little disappointed with the slow HD and little less powerful than normal desktop. But, so what?! I'm already amazed by the new design and the size of it, DELL definitely did a great job in those and I think it's on the right track for impressing its customer by the appearance of the products.
I really like DELL for some reasons, so I hope they will be more and more successful in the future products, and one day, may be, I'll come back~

China is China, despite the opening ceremony that we have seen on Friday was the best ever, news broke out a few days later that two of the session was "faked".
Yesterday, I saw a news about the fake fireworks. The fireworks that impressed me most were actually "faked"!! Well, it's not really faked but pre-recorded the day before and replay on the actual ceremony. It was the part in the very beginning where 29 footprints travelled towards the bird nest, representing the 29th Olympics. They explained its because of poor visibility, they recorded it the day before for "convenience and theatrical effects".
Today, another news. The cute little girl in red dress that sang in the opening ceremony was only there to show her face, the song was actually sang by another girl that isn't as pretty as the girl on stage but has a lovely voice! WHAT?! How can they do that in such a big event that everyone around the world was watching??
I don't know what's on their mind when they decided these things, why do they have to do such things when every Chinese was feeling proud about their country? May be I have to take back what I said in the last entry...
Please... no more shameful news...
